Legacy application being forced to 11g db tomorrow, unable to connect.

I have a client with an legacy app that is being forced to an 11g server tomorrow.  I really didn't expect an serious issue as the current DB is 10g, and I had see comments where people successfully used 11g with 6i forms.

The legacy app is 6i forms and reports currently being rewritten to 11g.  However, I can't even connect via sqlplus 8.0.5 which is the version they have loaded.

They don't have control over the database server (owned by another government agency) and it's going to go to 11g with or without them.    I reviewed the Oracle compatiability list and it's obviously not supported. The conversion to 11g is probably several months away and they are about to go down.

Howdy, Stranger!
