NetBackup 7.1 support
End user has received the following email from Oracle customer service.
Oracle will not be providing NetBackup 7.1 or any future releases of NetBackup.
Oracle has recently announced a change in strategy with the NetBackup product and will End of Life Symantec NetBackup, effective 1/14/11.
Oracle will continue to honor support contracts until they expire. However, Oracle will not renew contracts beyond 1/14/11 and has
instructed customers to transition support of NetBackup to Symantec. While your contract is active, Oracle will continue to provide you the
same level of sustaining support you have been receiving and will work with Symantec to ensure your needs are addressed. The last version of
