Transfer allocated inventory from one inv org to another

Customer manufactures product and allocates lot to a specific sales order, once the material is created they want to move the allocated material from one inventory org to another - how to do an inter-org tranfer of allocated material.  The material will sit in the second location for approc 6 mos before it is used and they don't want it getting allocated to another order.  Using 12.1.3
