CA PAY: Canada Basic Exemption On EE Tax Record

Hello,

If an employee has clamied a Federal and/or Provicinal exemption other than the basic exemption what happens at year end?  Do the year end patches reset the tax record to the basic exemption or does the exemption remain what is was set to originally?
