Shipping Notifications - Who Gets Them?

We use 11.i

At the header level of a Sales Order, there is a form called "Address Information" and I am curious as to whether or not any of the contacts in this screen get sent Shipping Notifications when the order is shipped.  For example, the Customer Contact in the upper right, or the Ship To Contact in the lower left.
