Which Linux for uncritical Oracle EE development platform
Hello all
We are currently maintaining a virtual machine running linux with Oracle EE 11.2.0.2. This virtual machine is used by developers for needs (experiments, offline development) they may have that is not covered by our regular EE infrastructure. Currently we are using Centos 6.0, which works just fine, but I'm beginning to wonder if this will also be the best way going forward. We have seen Centos lagging behind RHEL by more than just a little bit recently. I am of course aware that Centos is a community effort, so I am not blaming the people involved.
I see a few alternatives, of which some may not really be alternatives because of cost of support which we do not need for this relatively uncritical platform.
