Can we run Windows CHKDSK on OCFS drive.

Hi,
We have a customer using OCFS drives for the database and archivelogs. They are facing issue with deleting a folder which was created on the drive. When they try to delete the folder they get a message which says " cannot remove folder : directory not empty".

Their hardware support has stated that this can be fixed by running Windows CHKDSK.

How safe is it to run CHKDSK on an OCFS partition?
Oracle versoin is 10.2.0.3
