Update members & refresh in Smartview for Powerpoint for version 11.1.2.1

Does anyone know of a reasonable method for being able to bring in ad hoc Smartview Excel data points (from a Planning app) into a Powerpoint presentation in a manner that would allow the column data point headers (i.e. dimensions) to be modified and then refreshed directly in Powerpoint?  As an example; If the Period Dim is 3 columns with the members Jan, Feb, Mar, it would be nice to be able to quickly change those column members from the Period dim from Jan, Feb, Mar to Apr, May, Jun.   Interestingly, the POV Manager in Powerpoint allows managing the Dims in the POV that
