Multiple Reporting Currency 11.5.10.2

We are on 11.5.10.2 and would like to use MRC. 

We are unsure if we have the prerequisites.  We found a note 104854.1 which suggests a series of checks to see if MRC has been installed.  From this, we should conclude that MRC has NOT been installed.

But from the document

MRC: New Multiple Reporting Currencies Architecture in 11.5.10 [ID 308628.1]

I understand that it is no longer necessary to "install" MRC, but simply to follow the setup steps of creating the Reporting SOB etc etc. 

Before we launch the request "MRC Setup - Create Opening Balances...", could someone confirm that in fact in 11.5.10.2 there is no "technical" setup/installation to be done, everything can be managed from the application configuration side?
