NLS_LANG parameter

HI,

Any one let me know when NLS_LANG parameter will be set up n in the oracle client, i am traying to install oracle client with Engligh but the NLS_LANG paraeter set to UNITED KINGDON, in which senario it will be set to UNITED STATES currently i am based in UK we are using oracle 11g R2.
