Vertex and reciprocity

I understand Vertex has decided not to assume reciprocity and as a result, we need to set up employees who live / work in reciprocal states differently. This really complicates things for companies like us who have construction employees who work in a state they don't reside in and / or move from state to state to follow the work.

I thought I had heard that "the powers that be" might be working on Vertex to get them to change this stance. Is there any truth to this? Is there any progress on this? Is there any hope for this to revert back?
