IPS's created BEs cannot be activated if disks lack s2 defined on x86

Hello,
I've just noticed that in Solaris 11 Express a pkg update command cannot activate a BE it creates if disks in the root pool lack an s2 slice.

Without system disruption I've just created the s2 slices, did installgrub (just in case) and could successful complete the pkg update.

I don't know if Solaris 11 EA (b173) or later behaves the same.

Regards,
Carlos.
