External Distance Engine Performance and Multistop Logic Configuration MULTISTOP RATE DISTANCE ID Pa

As some background, we are using PCMiler V23.1 as our external distance engine.  Also, we are intensively building multistop shipments.
At a meeting in KoP in August of 2008, I learned about a new feature related to the External Distance Engine Cache Control Type and the Multistop Logic Configuration settings that was added to OTM as of version 5.5 CU4.  From my understanding:

- Prior to CU4, MULTISTOP RATE DISTANCE ID Parameter setting of ESTIMATE was the best solution performance-wise when building Multi-stop Shipments
- Post CU4, distance cacheing enhancements were made to improve distance retrieval performance from external distance engines, in turn making the MULTISTOP RATE DISTANCE ID Logic Configuration Parameter setting of PCMILER Rate Distance the better solution performance-wise.

Howdy, Stranger!
