Cannot view XML input using style sheet

We are upgrading from 11.5.10.2 to R12

As part of the AP module, I wanted to create Custom NACHA CCD template (as per the bank requirments) based on the existing standard NACHA CCD template . In order to get the XML data, modified the output type for program "Format Payment Instructions with Text Output" from "Text" to "XML". Processed payments and format program has completed without errors but when I try to view the XML output, I get the following error message

The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
