Solaris 10 equivalent to HP JetAdmin/HPNPL?

We are looking to migrate off an Enterprise 450 running Solaris 8, onto an M4000 container. We are currently using HP's JetAdmin tool to allow our users to handle output formatting like font size, etc. Unfortunately, JetAdmin is not container friendly and tries to create /dev entries which containers cannot do. I have looked through the Solaris Printing Service documentation, but cannot see a way to specify font size as part of the lp command. Has anyone else out there faced and conquered this problem? Even a commercial product will do.===
