Item Availability and commitments are incorrect. Troubleshooting Manufacturing Constants to resolve.

Question:
A work order has a part on the parts list that is not hard committed on the Detailed Item Availability screen (P41023) or the Item Location file (F41021). Summary Availability (P41202) is also incorrect. Why is this?

Answer:
Work order parts list commitments are controlled by the settings selected in the Manufacturing Constants (P3009) located on the Shop Floor Control Setup menu (G3141). If commitments are not correct or seem intermittent, start here.

Checking the Manufacturing Constants, the Backflush Options field (BFOP) is set to 2 in order to "Create a parts list committing to the location indicated in the Work Center Master table (F30006)".
