How to migrate open work orders ?

Hi ,
What is the best practise ? to close open WO in legacy and create new WO in JDE or Migrate open WO details from legacy to JDE ?

How to migrate open manufacturing work orders from legacy system to JDE production environment ? How to handle finance entry of WIP which happened in legacy system ?
