Processing Etext Template in XML Publisher template viewer

Processing Etext Template in XML Publisher template viewer provides a blank output, log has the following error message
[110811_092211311][oracle.apps.xdo.common.xml.XSLT10gR1][UNEXPECTED] <Line 1, Column 8>: XML-20109: (Fatal Error) PI with the name 'xml' can occur only in the beginning of the document.

Template works fine when we try to process from Oracle applications. In order to test the EText template changes, trying use the Template viewer, it does not give the outcome. Everytime we need to test a small change in the Etext template, we need to upload the template to the template deifinitoon in applications and test it.
