How to import Legacy data in to GL directly in R12?

Hi, we are in the process of designing our R12 upgrade (from 11i).  Part of this, I have to re-design lots interfaces that imports accounting data into GL. I know in R12, things changed. I am not sure how it is going to work in R12 compare to 11i when it comes to Journal Import from feeder (non Oracle, directly in GL). Some one told me that..

1. I have to create AAD, JLT and ADRs dynamically as part of my import process and run Create Accounting.

2. Some one told me to just put the DR or CR accounts with amounts in each input record.
