Date format based on regional settings in BI Publisher

Bi Publisher 11.1.1.5.0
In our BI Publisher reports, for all dates exposed in the layout, we have to adapt the date format between the US (MM.DD.YYYY) and EU (DD.MM.YYYY) depending on the localization of the user. Is it possible or not to parametrize the date format depending on the Regional settings set on the machine where the user runs the reports?

Any idea please?
