Journal Import

Legal Entity 434 was end dated as on 30-SEP-2011. This change was done on GL Prod on 27 Oct 2011. However there is a combination with 434 that is still enabled in Account Combination Screen.

A journal from external system( Treasury) came into Oracle GL on 02 Nov 2011 and we could import and post it to GL ...How is this possible? GL Import should have flagged invalid combination since 434 is end dated....

When I go and try to enter a new journal it does not allow us to select 434 FOR Legal Entity...So why did it allow the journals to go through? Is it because the 434 combinations are still enabled in Account Combination Screen?
