Changing the tablespace from read only to read write

Hi,

we have a 10.2.0.4 database in which we have a 500 GB tablespace which is READ ONLY
We made the tablespace READ ONLY in AUGUST 2011 and made a backup of this tablespace / datafiles
In OCTOBER 2011, we had to make this tablespace READ WRITE to generate the metadata of data pump export file. So, we made this
tablespace READ WRITE, generated the metadata and then made the tablespace READ ONLY again. No data was written to the tablespace
during this time

Now, we are planning to build a physical standby database and our question is that CAN we use the backup of this
