Saving email template second time in Siebel Marketing 8.1.1.x corrupts trackable URLs

Hello,

We are implementing Siebel Marketing 8.1.1.3. And we face the issue described in the following article: Saving a Treatment Template More Times Cause Trackable URLs Not To Work [ID 1338327.1]. When we save the email template the second time, the trackable URLs in the template get corrupted. The fix is scheduled for 8.1.1.7 which is planned for release in Feb 2012. There is no configuration workaround except to avoid saving an email template for the second time.

Our client considers this defect as a showstopper and not willing to go live with such problem.

I would like to hear about your experience with Siebel Marketing starting from 8.1.1.1, where the same problem occurs according to the article. What has been the resolution in your case(s)? Is it really true that every Siebel Marketing implementation after 8.1.1.1 using email marketing has to instruct the end-users to prepare the email templates carefully from the very beginning and not to save them more then once in the Email Editor? Or is there actually any other way?
