Schedule Ship Date Functionality

Hi Gurus,

I would like to understand the Schedule Ship Date related functionality. We have ASCP impletmented and the plan runs everyday in the night.

Suppose I received and order with requested date as tomorrow and no stock is available for fulfillment. Depending on the Item lead time of 5 days Oracle suggested the SDD as Req Date + 5 days.

Now lets say PO is expedited and received 2 days earlier and now quantity is available in the inventory. How my sales order will know that qty is available and it should be picked and reserved now. Is there way  that this can be notified or identified earlier in a day instead of waiting for Plan to run and suggest it next day.
