change identifying registration details of a legal entity

When a Legal Entity changes registration details, I can add a new establishment, and change the main establishment.

However, when I add a new registration per a certain date I am getting message

An active registration for this jurisdiction already exists. Please select a different jurisdiction or end date the existing registration.An active registration for this jurisdiction already exists. Please select a different jurisdiction or end date the existing registration.

When I end date the existing registration first, I am getting the message: The identifying registration cannot be end dated

Are there any ideas on how to bypass this?
