Search only Associated Records

As a continuation of my Picklist cap out problem, I established a custom object. A new issue/oportunity has arisen...

Currently, we have products that are associated with a custom object. The custom object has records of all the colors of our company. There is a 1 to many relationship. One Product can have many colors.

Is there a way natively in CRM while on the product page, to force the look up window to only search the color records associated with the product. Right now, all colors appear in the look up window.
