People and Assignment

Hi All,
My client given a requirement like,
     create the person record and process the assignment record. If any error occurred at the time of processing assignment, person record also need to rollback ( No need to create person record).

Pls give me ur suggestions how to proceed. I am expecting suggestion like one procedure under one package.
