EDI Order Ack for Held Order

We recently implemented EDI 855 outbound for the first time.  The customer wants an initial 855 immediately, but the orders usually have a hold code applied for a couple of days.  The order hold is blocking the order from the 855 extract.  Is there a way to allow the 855 extract to capture the held order?  TIA, MarkW.
