unable to start my instance with srvctl

I can start the instance with sqlplus but srvctl gives the error message below.

[oracle@aprac6a dbs]$ srvctl start instance -d eraps1p -i eraps1p1
PRCR-1013 : Failed to start resource ora.eraps1p.db
PRCR-1064 : Failed to start resource ora.eraps1p.db on node aprac6a
CRS-2552: There are no available instances of resource 'ora.eraps1p.db' to start.
[oracle@aprac6a dbs]$
[oracle@aprac6a dbs]$ sqlplus / as sysdba

SQL*Plus: Release 11.2.0.2.0 Production on Fri Nov 18 10:37:55 2011

Copyright (c) 1982, 2010, Oracle.  All rights reserved.

Connected to an idle instance.

SQL> startup
ORACLE instance started.
