I apologize for posting in DBA forum, but we all know that GoldenGate forum is still in the process of being created. We need to setup GoldenGate replication between a large IBM DB2 (on zOS)
and Oracle 11gR2 database (on LINUX). I already went over DB2
GoldenGate documentaion on Oracle technet and setup a proof of concept
replication with one table. The replication works. Here are POC notes: http://vgrigorian.com/gg/GoldenGate_db2_to_oracle.pdf, also attached below
As you can see, replicating one static DB2 table is different from using GoldenGate for thousands of tables with a lot of transactions updating them while you are migrating to Oracle.
