Standby waiting for archive logs from unavailable instance

We recently shutdown a RAC node on production (node # 3).  Now the standby for is waiting for archive log from the thread of instance that was shutdown.  The archive log(s) for that thread are online on Prod but are not getting shipped to standby.  Any ideas how I can get Oracle to ship the archive logs for that thread without manually copying them and registering them?
