New to RAC .

Hello ,

I am quite new in RAC technology .

We have a 2 Node 9.2.0.5 RAC  on Solaris SPARC 64 bits . The cluster software is Veritas Cluster 5.

We plan to migrate to Oracle last release 11.2 .

I have some few questions .

- I have read some info about ASM , but i can't figure out wheter  ASM is mandatory or not with Oracle 11.2 RAC technology .

- I also think that Oracle 11.2 on RAC does support third party cluster software . I have read that it is not recommended , but i can't find any list of certified third party cluster software.
  How do you manage with 1/3 party cluster software and 11.2 RAC  ?  What would be your recomendations regarding this point . ?
