how to build RAC with one server and then join node 2nd into

Dear all

the oracle system is single mode, we buy one more server and have Shared storage.

We want to transition existing oracle 10g (single) to RAC 11gr2.

Same OS: AIX

Some basic steps for transitioning as following:

 

step 1: Infrastructure Preparation for RAC (Interconnect, Shared storage,...)

step2: Oracle RAC installing on node 1st

step3: Migrating database from single to new RAC env (one server).

step4: Installing on node 2nd

step5: Joining node 2nd into RAC env.

 

can you share us  some best practice for this installing and configuration.

how to install and configure RAC w/ one server

then how to join node 2nd into the RAC env.
