Change accounting calendar from Apr-Mar to calendar year Jan-Dec

Hi

We are on Oracle EBS 11.5.10.2 (database 9.2.0.8.0) & have requirement to change our accounting calendar from our current calendar of April-March to calendar year Jan-Dec

Modules that are currently available are AP, AR, GL, PO, INV, PA, Daily Business Intelligence

Periods between Nov-2011 to Mar-2012 are already been defined and have status of Future. We need to change over to new accounting period of Jan-Dec from Jan-2012 onwards

Could you please let us how this scenario can be handled, one metalink note that I had seen yesterday had suggested following approach, is there any other approach we can adopt
