DFF segments data not getting uploaded from GL_INTERFACE to GL_JE_LINES table

As per new business requirement, we need to have the DFF information additionally in the attribute 4 & 5 segments.
As a setup we have added 2 new Segments for the DFF 'Enter Journals: Lines'
MCC Code        -> ATTRIBUTE4
MCC Description -> ATTRIBUTE5

We have populated these 2 columns in the GL_interface, but the same is not getting populated in the gl_je_lines table or in front end form

Pls let us know,
Does the 'Journal Import' program has the ability to pick the DFF attribute values,
from the GL_INTERFACE table and populate them in the GL_JE_LINES ?
