Use of Labor Distribution Method (LMTH) and Labor Distribution Multiplier (LF)

We are on 9.0 and want to try out the Labor Distribution Method (LMTH) and Labor Distribution Multiplier (LF) that can be found on the Employee Payroll tab of the Employee Master.  We can find no documentation relating to their usage and Oracle doesn't appear to know either.  We tried putting a '1' in the LMTH field and 1.25 in the LF field.  Keyed some time in and did not see a difference in the F06116 record.  Has anyone used these fields and if so, can you tell me what would be different about a time card and the related J/E?
