Oracle Standard Edition RAC and ASM Storage configuration

Greetings,

I would like to hear your take on ASM configuration in regards to performance and high availability. Assume I have 12x 300GB disks and 8x 146GB disks in SAN and they are all dedicated to my environment. With the 300GB disks I will have slower IOPs I would imagine. I would try to go for RAID10 if I were doing software RAID. I have 4 databases running on 2 node Oracle RACs. Two of which have multiple customers accessing them using OLTP applications (1500-2000 concurrent connections) and the other two databases are dedicated customer databases with same purpose (20-50 concurrent
