Upgrading from single instance 9.2.0.8 to 11.2.0.2 RAC databae

We are planning a upgrade project for critical siebel database currently running on  oracle version 9.2.0.8 on sparc 64 bit platform(single instance using normal solaris ufs file system).The target system is 11.2.0.2 running on Solaris 10  with RAC and ASM enabled.

We want to validate whether the upgrade steps are ok..or anything is missed..We are planning to do out of place upgrade on new hardware.

 

1) Install 11.2 binaries and latest patch sets on new host and prepare the 11.2 Oracle home  with

complete  oracle grid infrastructure on two new nodes 1 and 2.

2)Take rman backup on source 9i R2 database
3) Allow these rman backups to be accessible from new host
