BACKUP OPTIMIZATION ON

HiThe DR test resulted in requiring tapes that were not found as part of RMAN backup log. The restore operation was looking for tape with archive logs that were few days old. The configuration parameter "BACKUP OPTIMIZATION" is currently set to "ON". Is this parameter causing the issue?
