Help needed for Global accounting

in General Ledger - EBS (MOSC) Question
Hi friends

 

We need some inputs for Global accounting related tables.

 

1.Why Global Accounting is used ??? Is it being used in R12 also or its part of SLA  Please explain

2.Table level help

In 11i we have table named AP_AE_HEADERS_ALL Which is obsolete in R12 and we are using  XLA_AE_HEADERS, XLA_GL_TRANSFER_BATCHES_ALL, XLE_ACCOUNTING_ERROR & AX.AX_SLE_HEADERS.

Here can we use AX.AX_SLE_HEADERS or do you suggest alternative on this. Because   AX.AX_SLE_HEADERS this table stores global accounting data.
