Migrating to 9.0 and using the Configurator Module?  This is a must read!!
E1: 32: P3210 Configurator Rules Engine for 9.0 (Document 1382511.1)

An important consideration for Configurator clients upgrading to EnterpriseOne 9.0 is the redesign of the configurator rules engine.  In all releases prior to Enterprise 9.0, the configurator rules engine was designed in a 'top-down' - single-pass manner.  If there are multiple valid values that can be returned to a specific Calculated Segment, the system populates the segment based on the last valid Assembly Inclusion Rule (AIR).  In essence, the last valid rule 'wins.'

In 9.0, the rules engine has been re-engineered to process rules iteratively allowing the system to process rules bi-directionally up and down, and also laterally.  This redesign is significant in that some rules will not function as they did in previous releases and may need to be rewritten to avoid circular references and to produce the desired results.

Howdy, Stranger!
