How to configure extended warrenty based on difference between return from customer and replacement/

Hi .

How to configure in below scenario - business requirement.

Within warrenty period if failed item return from customer, and took 2 months for replacement

then customer may lose 2 month warrenty. as start date start from ship date while end date becomes same as old warrenty contract.

In fact business needs that since its delay in replacement, end date also should be more than 2 months.

i.e difference between last date of return from customer and replacement/ship date will get extended the warrenty end date.
