Employee suffixes showing on stubs and W2s

We need employee suffixes to appear on the pay stubs and to correctly show on the W2s.  Currently, we include the suffix in the Alpha and Mailing Name (ALPH and MLNM) and are not using the Suffix (SUFF). The suffix shows on the stubs but then we have to make a lot of corrections to the W2 file to meet the requirements.

After testing, if we remove the suffix from the ALPH and MLNM fields and use the SUFF, then the suffixes will not show on the pay stubs, but then the W2s will be correct. What is the best practice so both the stubs and W2s are correct?  Should the name fields (GNNM, MDNM, SRNM) in Who's Who be used for W2s and if so how do you populate them? With each new hire, an annual batch?
