R12- Reversing Jounrnal Entries - Primary/Secondary Ledgers

When reversing a journal entry in Primary, it is not creating the reversal in the secondary Ledger?  Oncc I post the original entry with the reversing information attached in the primary, the entry will post to the secondary ledger but without the reversing information.  I have to add the reversing information and generate in the secondary ledger..is that right?  I thought all entreis posted to Primary are brought over in either unposted or posted status in the secondary including automatic reversing entries.
