On December 6 2011, Oracle announced immediate availability of Oracle Solaris Cluster 4.0.
Oracle Solaris Cluster is designed to provide HA and DR infrastructure required for deploying mission critical workloads in private, public and hybrid clouds as well as enterprise data centers. Oracle Solaris Cluster extends Oracle Solaris 11 to deliver :
  • Built-in support for mission critical clouds via virtual cluster enabling secure multi-tenant deployment of enterprise applications
  • Out of the box HA for Oracle Database and Oracle applications
  • Fastest service recovery, application specific failover and disaster recovery across unlimited distances in traditional and virtualized environments
  • Simplified lifecycle management with full Oracle Solaris 11 integration and ease of operations with Oracle Enterprise Manager integration
