VPD Integration Capabilities with Identity Management

HI All, my current understanding is that VPD policies are stored within the database as a combination of table objects and stored procedures.  Assuming that's correct (please correct me if I am wrong!)  I have a question around whether VPD policy definition and/or management can be integrated into something more  'user-freindly' such as Identity Management for example - OLS seems to have thiis capability?
