Possibile with one Business group for several countries and currencies

in Human Capital Management - EBS (MOSC) Question
In case of a group of comapnies  wtith business in several countries dosen't use HR actively Only  the minimum setup is done in order to have other work processes in purcahsing and Financials incl Projects to work, eg approval. . Business Group in that case is of very little use. What are the consequences of having  only one BG for the whole group?  (Knnwingly entering only one currency and one country.   Is this at all possible?
