Consolidate different Address Book records

Hi all,
If two or more address book records exist in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Address Book Master for the same partener (supplier or customer), how can I consolidate the corresponding information through one address record?
There were entered transactional information for each address book record, until it was noticed there were duplicate records for the same partener.

A suggestion form Oracle documentation is to use parent/child functionality. Did anyone try it? Is this functionality adequate for this case?
