Problem with CRS starting

Would like some help with a two node RAC database cluster.  I get the following when I try to startup the database on either of the nodes:

SQL> startup
ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters
ORA-01565: error in identifying file '+DCRM_DATA/dcrm/spfiledcrm.ora'
ORA-17503: ksfdopn:2 Failed to open file +DCRM_DATA/dcrm/spfiledcrm.ora
ORA-15077: could not locate ASM instance serving a required diskgroup
ORA-29701: unable to connect to Cluster Manager


When checking upon crs I get the following:

[root@dukecvdbprs01 bin]# ./crsctl check crs
Failure 1 contacting Cluster Synchronization Services daemon
Cannot communicate with Cluster Ready Services
