recovery in new version 11.2.0.3

My database running 11.2.0.6 version.I have taken level 0 backup and try to restore with New database server which is running on 11.2.0.3. Its gives me error.Please let me know whether is it possible or not ?

We have installed oracle 11.2.0.3 in new oracle home and try to restore rman backup which is taken 12-dec-2011 level 0 and older db version is 11.1.0.6.0 from where we have taken backup.

When i try to open database with resetlog mode it gives messages

SQL> alter database open resetlogs ;
alter database open resetlogs
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01139: RESETLOGS option only valid after an incomplete database recovery


SQL> recover database using backup controlfile;
